Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, the data shown in the comments form is collected, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from the commenter’s email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if it is in use. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of a comment, the profile picture is visible to the public in the context of the comment.
Media
If images are uploaded to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If a comment is left on the site, there is an option to save the name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for convenience so details do not need to be filled in again when leaving another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If the login page is visited, a temporary cookie will be set to determine if the browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when the browser is closed.
